The Far Post Soccer Supply Company adds nearly $5,100 to the Academy’s Scholarship Fund! (2/24)

“We are so grateful to Sonny Jepson and the entire Far Post family for everything they do on behalf of the players, coaches and teams.” 

The Far Post continues to be one of the key sponsors to the Academy and in recent years, has taken on the lead sponsorship role with the Clive Charles Memorial Golf tournament, which will be held this year on June 11th at Langdon Farms Golf Club.

 According to Jepson, his love for the Academy goes way back, almost to day one: 

“I can remember this fellow coming to town with an accent and a vision about creating great soccer in Oregon and we just hit it off.  Of course, it was Clive and it seemed like every time we turned around, something good was happening to all of these great kids and to the game.  I’ll tell you it was an honor to be in the early mix and the Academy has and always will have a very special place in my heart”.

Sonny continued:  “So many of us have been blessed in different ways and as I’ve gotten to know the players and the coaches over all of these years, being able to give back to a group I believe in, means a lot to me and to my staff. IF you knew how little Clive had when he was younger, and how hard he worked, you’ll know why I enjoy building this scholarship fund each year.”

In addition to sponsorships and scholarships, Jepson and the Far Post provide discounts to every Academy player and their family throughout the year on each purchase.

They recently held a CLUB NIGHT for special orders and are working with the Academy to order new jackets for teams and players for the upcoming State Cup and Spring Seasons.

The Far Post is located at 825 SW 14th Avenue, near Lincoln High School and the MAC.
