F.C. Portland Academy announces the
“Little Strikers Academy” for 4, 5 and 6 year olds!
 Enrollment begins: March 1st, 2010
Sessions: May 4th, 2010 thru July 15th, 2010
Building upon our belief in the importance of proper training and in early skills development for youngsters, the Little Strikers Academy will offer classes for children between the ages of four and six.
The program will be based upon the S.I.M.P.L.E. approach that is deemed a “Best Practice” by manyChild Development professionals.
Simple activities are the best!
Idle time should be minimal
Make a game out of practice
Provide a range of activities
Let kids have a positive experience
Extend beyond soccer activities
For parents looking to soccer as a way to develop a child’s love of play and movement, this program offers much in the way of:

Born in 1951, Clive Charles grew up playing street soccer before joining West Ham United youth teams at the age of 12. When he turned 15, Clive signed with the English First Division club West Ham United as an apprentice, following in the footsteps of his older brother John. Clive turned professional and joined the first team in 1970. The club loaned him briefly (1971-1972) to the Montreal oin Canada - part of the North American Soccer League (NASL). In 1972, the defender made the first of his 14 League and 1 Cup appearances for “The Hammers”.
