F.C. Portland Academy is proud to announce that it has been selected to participate in the prestigious Red Bull National League
F.C. Portland Academy is proud to announce that it has been selected to participate in the prestigious Red Bull National League for U15, U16, and U17 Girls. It is a great honor for the Academy to be accepted into Red Bull National League which plays host to the top 32 female clubs in the country.

Teams are selected into the League based on the following criteria: (1) History of success
(2) Development of college players
(3) Current achievements.

F.C. Portland joins Crossfire Premier as the only 2 clubs representing the northwest in the 2008/2009 season.

Participation in the Red Bull National League guarantees entry into the nation’s elite college showcase events.  Each team in the League will play in three of the nation’s top tournaments where they will compete against one another.  At the end of the season, the teams in each division will be ranked based on points.  A detailed schedule of those tournaments/dates will be available shortly.

“We are very excited to be invited to join the Red Bull League.” said F.C. Portland’s Mike dePinna (Head Coach – Women’s Division).   “Inclusion in the League solidifies our Girls’ Program as the premier girls’ club in Oregon.”

“As you can see from the list of national clubs involved, our girls will have the opportunity to play against the best clubs in the country,” dePinna continues.  “This level of competition will be great for our players’ development.  The three major tournaments will also provide great opportunities for our girls to be seen by college scouts.”

U15 F.C. Portland Yellow is coached by Steve Ancheta; U16 F.C. Portland Green is coached by Lisa Sari; and, U17 F.C. Portland Purple is coached Lauren Hanson.
