2010 WINTER COLLEGE SHOWCASE TOURNAMENT

College Coaches who would like to attend the tournament please contact Mike Stebbins, the tournament director at Mike@premierinternationaltours.com, to include your name on the list of coaches in attendance and receive all pertinent information, including a handbook with team rosters and schedules.

THE 2010 WINTER COLLEGE SHOWCASE IS NOW FULL!!

Thanks to all teams and clubs that have applied to this event.  Due to an incredible response, we will not be able to accept any additional applications to this tournament.

A final listing of all accepted teams will be posted in this space on (or about) December 1, 2009.

If you are the Head Coach or Manager of an accepted team, please remind your players to begin completing their PROFILES for the Captain U publication that will be distributed to COLLEGE COACHES.

Now in its’ ninth year, this event is designed to create opportunities for players to gain exposure to college coaches from many of the top NCAA and NAIA programs.

In 2009, over sixty college coaches came to the Winter College Showcase to evaluate talent for their programs and to see first hand how the players did against great competition.   This is the perfect time for players to be seen outside of summer tournaments and Regional events.

Games are played on all-weather, lighted Turf Field fields at or near Liberty High School, the training facility for all F.C. Portland Academy teams.  College coaches will be able to view players within the U16-U18 age groups for both the Men and the Women sides in a concentrated setting.

Space is limited for this event and it is important that your team apply early for consideration.

• Presentations on financial aid strategies for parents at the COLLEGE BOUND session

• Recommendations from by NCAA and NAIA college coaches on the best way to create and build a relationship with the soccer, academic, and financial aid programs

• Strategies shared for creating your opportunity for success as you search for the right fit for a college
