Foundation Academy

Overview

The FC Portland Foundation Academy Program is the bridge connecting our Junior Academy (U7-U8) and our Competitive Program (U11-U18). Players are required to tryout and selected players will be placed their respective age pools. These specific age groups are a critical learning age, and the Foundation Academy Program has been developed so that committed players can have access to year-round training where the basic fundamental skills are mastered. This program will give players the benefit of a competitive environment with a developmental mindset. The Foundation Academy is the perfect place for recreational players that are looking to transition into club soccer.

Program Details

- 12 Month Program
- 2 Practices per week
- Fall League Oct - Nov
- FC Portland Youth Academy Cup November

- Winter Futsal (optional)
- Spring League Jan-April

Player Scholarships available

Cost includes:
- Team tactic & methodology sessions either at FC Portland office or via zoom
- Player Evaluations (self evaluation & coaches evaluation)
- Training fees
- State registration fees
- US Club registration fees
- All league fees
- End of season OYSA Cup competition fees
- Field rental costs including; lights, facilities and equipment
- Administrative services from a professional staff

Cost Does Not Include:
- Required uniforms & training gear

Team Accounts (paid via Team Treasurer):

Each team will have a team account that players will need to deposit money into.
These accounts will help each team cover the following cost:

- Tournament Entry Fees (summer / travel tournaments)
- Team, coach, and manager travel cost to games/ events past Salem
