Girls ECNL RL Program

Overview

The ECNL Regional League Girls Program is designed for highly committed players seeking a high-level competitive and development environment. As the top level of play within FC Portland for girls, the program provides a strong platform for players to compete locally and regionally while continuing their long-term development.

The ECNL RL pathway offers a structured and competitive environment focused on technical growth, tactical understanding, and preparation for the next level, including college soccer and beyond. Each age group features one ECNL RL team, creating a focused and competitive setting for player development.

Player Pathway & Team Structure

Players participate in annual tryouts and, if selected, are placed into the ECNL RL pool for their age group. Coaching staff evaluate and support their development throughout the season within a unified team environment and club methodology.

Competition & Exposure

Teams compete in the ECNL RL Girls Far West Conference, facing top clubs from across Oregon. The league provides a consistent and competitive schedule that supports player development throughout the season.

Teams will also have opportunities to attend ECNL RL showcases and other regional events. These event offer valuable exposure to college coaches and provide players with opportunities to compete against strong competition from outside local area.

The overall competition environment is designed to challenge players, foster long-term development, and prepare them for success at the next level.

Program Details

Season Length:

• U13-U14: 12-month program
• U15-U19: 9-month program

Training Frequency

• 2 sessions per week

League Play

• ECNL RL Girls Far West Conference
• All games in Oregon

Events & Competitions

• ECNL RL Playoffs (qualification-based)
• ECNL RL Showcases (optional, team-based decision)
• Summer tournaments (local and regional)
• Additional showcase-style events throughout the year

Training & Game Locations

• Primary: Liberty High School
• Secondary: South Meadows Middle School, Hillsboro Stadium, Ron Tonkin Field
